by Cat & Racquel — Letters From The Cards
Gemini season stirs up the sacred tension between mind and heart — between how we speak and what we choose. This spread was born from that space.
We wanted to explore how our voices shape our paths, and how our choices reveal the truths we’re ready to live by. So we created As I Speak, So I Choose — a Gemini-inspired tarot spread that pairs the archetypes of The Magician (expression, will, vision) and The Lovers (connection, choice, alignment).
To honour those dual energies, we each read with the deck that felt most like Gemini in our hands.
Cat used Crafting the Current, a deck that embodies The Magician — precise, curious, clever, emotionally attuned, and deeply engaged in creative flow.
Racquel used Iris Hollow Flame, which holds The Lovers archetype — tender, feeling-driven, sensual, relational, and always in motion.
Together, they held the season’s archetypes beautifully: one speaks, one chooses.
The Spread: As I Speak, So I Choose
A Gemini Season Tarot Spread

1 — My Magician Energy
How am I currently using my energy, voice or focus?
This reveals your active mode — how your will is shaping reality.
2 — My Lovers Energy
What relationship, value, or decision is asking for clarity?
This card shows where choice or alignment is being called for — especially around connection or integrity.
3 — The Interference
What belief, habit, or fear is distorting my voice or choices?
This reveals what keeps The Magician and The Lovers in conflict — the tension point.
4 — The Clarified Choice
What truth or direction wants to emerge when I release that distortion?
This is the honest choice — the one that becomes clear when you let yourself realign.
5 — The Spoken Spell
What am I ready to name, claim, and live by now?
Your new story.
Your affirmation.
Your embodied direction.
’s Perspective
Deck: Crafting the Current
Cards: The Magician, The Moon, Page of Swords, Six of Coins (Rev), The Tower (Rev)
Pulling The Magician for my Magician energy was a surprise — but extremely validating. It was a clear affirmation: I’m in this energy, I’m casting something, whether or not I’ve consciously claimed it.
The Moon showed up in the Lovers position, and it hit. I’m learning that not every decision comes with clarity — sometimes the only guide is intuition, and that has to be enough. I’m still learning to trust that.
The Page of Swords showed me how I get in my own way. My mind wants to make meaning fast — to analyze instead of intuit — and that habit can block me from deeper knowing.
Then came The Six of Coins reversed. A hard truth: I’ve tied worth to what I give. And I’ve undervalued what I need in return. My choice now is to restore balance — without apology.
The Tower reversed was the perfect final card. Not collapse, but release. A sacred undoing. Letting the unnecessary fall away — slowly, purposefully — so something new can root.
Racquel’s Perspective
Deck: Iris Hollow Flame
Cards: Seven of Swords (Rev), Page of Wands (Rev), Five of Cups, Nine of Pentacles (Rev), Knight of Pentacles
Seven of Swords reversed reflected exactly where I am: ready to stop hiding pain — from others and from myself. I’ve spent so long protecting my truth to keep my place, but I’m not afraid to speak it anymore.
The Page of Wands reversed echoed the way I’ve dimmed myself. I’ve felt misunderstood, and instead of stoking my own fire, I’ve made it smaller. But the desire to express — to spark again — hasn’t gone out.
Five of Cups showed up next. A familiar card. I know what grief does to the way I see myself and my world. And I know how it lingers. But seeing it reminded me that grief is part of me, not all of me.
The Nine of Pentacles reversed brought the reminder I needed: I’m allowed to be witnessed in my becoming. I am worthy, even when I’m unraveling.
And The Knight of Pentacles grounded it all. I don’t need to rush. I don’t need to prove. My pace is sacred, and steady is still forward.
